  • I’ve been playing music since I was six years old—professionally gigging for over 15 years. While I started with Rock, I have quickly found a home with jazz. I eat, sleep, and breathe hot club jazz. I was struggling to find appropriate mentors and teachers to guide my journey, being away from cities with major swing jazz communitites, so I learned independently. Attending as many workshops and retreats as possible, and collaborating with other musicians just as obsessed as I was. But the real difference, i found, was in time and listening. I have spent countless hours listening to Django’s recordings, Bix Biderbeck, Louis Armstrong, and more, just to grasp an understanding of this style of music. These materials are the result of a methodological listening, interpretation, and application practice. I hope they benefit you as they have me.
